Well it's about time we got some pics onto this blog as up 'til now it has been fairly tame. I'm sure Derek will love this one of him on his birthday and will forgive his daughter for texting it to me.
If you like this, there'll be plenty more where that came from as we're off in eight days and counting.
We have been beyond the call of duty in the interests of the fundraising profile - I can't recommend a photoshoot in your cycling gear in front of the double whammy that is a large building site and hordes of schoolchildren on their way home on a Friday afternoon. This is supposedly to promote our regeneration scheme (the aforementioned building site) and the fact that it is the town centre (and therefore close to the schools). When we had the idea we thought it was good one. You can see from the look on my face that I'm not enjoying it quite as much as Derek. The worst is yet to come - the local papers are out on Thursday.......
